A Song in Praises of Kamal Haasan

Paramakudi No 1 is a film which has new faces in the cast. Four songs have been recorded for this film. In one of the song will depict the history of Paramakudi and also will have praises for Kamal who is the native of Paramakudi. The song with the line Kamal Sir Pirandhadu Enga Mannuda was written by Kadavul. Samuel Baby has composed the music for this song. Madhu Menon is handling the camera.

Debutant director S Saravana Perumal who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues is directing this film. Murugan and Govindaraja are producing this film under the banner Triple A. New faces Chandru, Prashanth, Mubarak and Hari are starring in this film.

The shooting of the film is to take place in and around Paramakudi. Saravanaperumal while speaking about this film said,” The film is based on the real incidents that took place between 1986 and 2010. We are trying to give a strong message to the society that how to solve a problem which has been bugging us for a long time.”

KAMAL AND TRISHA VOICE FOR DSP

Trisha’s next Tamil venture, to be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, will have Kamal Haasan pairing up with her. The film’s music is being scored by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). The lady was recently in Chennai to render a few poetic verses for this yet-to-be-named film. Kamal also joined Trisha at the studio to record his voice. Apparently, this is not a song but something like a singsong.Kamal, known for his versatility in all fields in the film industry, has already rendered several songs and this is not something new for the actor. A few kids also joined the actors in the singsong, we are told.

Rajini’s emotional gift to Kamal

Admiration is something that ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth receives naturally because of his deeds and actions. In one such action, he has proved yet again that he’s not only a superstar but also a true friend.

The friendship about Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is incredible and all of us know it. They have acted in many movies together and both consider director K. Balachandar as their mentor. During a function to facilitate Kamal’s fifty years in the film industry, Rajini had reportedly said that all the actors were ‘children of the Goddess of Art’, but ‘Kamal was so special that the Goddess had carried him in her own arms and let the other actors follow her’. This speech of Rajini had indeed received a lot of applause from the audience and the guests and especially Kamal who turned emotional by saying Rajini is his closest friend in the Tamil industry.

While that speech of Rajini would have been forgotten by many, sources say the ‘superstar’ apparently had called a reputed artist to his house to paint what he felt about the description of Kamal with the Goddess of Art. He had expressed his feelings and told his idea of how the painting can be portrayed. Rajini wanted the painting to include superstars from other industries as well and wanted them to be depicted as children. After a few days, the artist had come up with his version and Rajini was awestruck seeing it. He was so grateful to the artist and he immediately packed the painting and sent it to Kamal’s office. Sources say that after Kamal opened the package he was so happy to see the painting which made him feel so special. Apparently there was a telephonic conversation between the two, where Kamal was reported to have told Rajini, he was moved by this gesture.

The painting has Goddess of Art carrying Kamal in her arms, and superstars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan , Mohanlal , Kannada superstar Vishnuvaradhan and Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi as kids who are playing and following them. Only photos of two stalwarts of Tamil Cinema hang on Kamal’s walls and they are Sivaji Ganesan and Nagesh. Now he has another painting and that too from a special friend. A tale of friendship that all Tamil fans would love to see it blossom.

'Kamal Haasan' Launches ‘VTV’ Songs

For everyone at Sathyam Cinemas, it was an evening of abounding to breezes of musical fiestas. It was all about the unveiling of A.R. Rahman’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ songs that were earlier launched at London.Kamal Haasan and A.R. Rahman together launched the film’s audio with Gowtham Menon and other technicians of the film sharing the dais.The juncture kick-started with the singers crooning almost all the songs in this album, which was later followed by screening of three numbers were screened for the special invitees. The songs were mind-boggling with eye-catching visuals and goldrush over the musical arenas.Addressing the gathered invitees, Kamal Haasan said that the visuals have propelled him to watch the film soon.All the singers were spotted with black blazers and so was Gowtham Menon.Gowtham totted up saying that the film is inspiration from his own life and it will be a graceful romantic entertainer for universal audiences….

Yavarum Kelir – Kamal’s next Movie

According to media sources, under KS Ravikumar direction Kamal Hassan’s next movie is titled as Yavarum Kelir. This will be a comedy movie produced by Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies.

In the combination of Kamal, K. S Ravikumar delivered blockbusters like ‘Avvai Shanmugi’, ‘Thenali’, ‘Panchathanthiram’ and ‘Dasavatharam’.

"Kamal" and "Rahman" honoured by Prime Minister

CNN-IBN Indian of the Year is the prime and the most plausible awards of the Country. The association is ready to respect and recognize the Indians whose endeavor stood tall in the year 2009.
The CNN IBN Indian of the Year 2009 award was given to A R Rahman and Kamal Haasan by Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh yesterday. According to the PTI report, Academy Award winner A R Rahman won over the Indian of the Year in the Entertainment category from Amitabh Bachchan. Big B was voted for doing the role of a 13-year-old in ‘Paa’, and entertaining the nation for forty years now. Kamal Haasan received the Special Achievement Award form the CNN-IBN team for completing 50 years in cinema.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described A R Rahman's music as inspirational. “Rahman’s music is inspirational... When I heard Rahman in the White House, you cannot imagine the sense of joy and achievement...,” Singh said, after conferring the award in New Delhi.
"It is a triumph for music. I hope it inspires more people and lessens the divide," said the Oscar winning music maestro, who was also given an award for entertainment. He said “lessening the divide” through music was his intention.
When asked what was it about his music that wowed the world Rahman said, "I don't know. I think the philosophy of music playing larger role, being selective and blessings of God."
The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar. Praising the maestro, the Prime Minister called him an "inspirational genius", saying "There is only one Panditji and he has been a role model and will be a role model".

Nayantara may team with Kamal

Kamal Haasan’s new romantic comedy to be directed by K S Ravikumar under the big banner of Red Giant Movies is in the pipeline and the whole team is handling it all well. Pre production works for this Kamal starrer is on full swing and the latest talk of the town is about the film’s leading lady.
As we had it earlier Tamannah was the initial choice of our Ulaga Nayagan, but now birdies have a different story altogether. Now the new story doing rounds is that Nayantara is being seriously considered to be Kamal’s lady love. And the buzz is that it was Prabhu Deva who proposed this idea to Kamal.
And not to forget, the film’s producer Udhayanidhi will be doing a supporting role and travels along with Kamal throughout the film that was specially designed by Ravikumar.

Mysskin confirms Kamal Haasan’s project

Mysskin was spotted so miffed with his producers since his producers of ‘Nandhalala’ had no plans about releasing this film. But now, the closer sources of Mysskin have confirmed that he will be starting his production works with Kamal Haasan from February. Since, the producers haven’t signed on the dotted lines, Mysskin and Kamal Haasan aren’t ready to make official announcements.
Meanwhile, Mysskin has almost completed penning the final draft and few modifications are slightly to be made over the screenplay.
Since, there are couple of months left for February, both Mysskin and Kamal Haasan are seemingly started off with casting actors in this untitled film.
Let’s hope Mysskin finds resurgence with this film since he has been drenched in troubled waters for past one year.

"Kamal" turns politician?

Kamal has started to spin around more energetically. Post the success of his ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ and his golden jubilee celebration, the actor has gained more momentum. One side Kamal has dusted out the script of his ‘Marmayogi’ from the shelf and is busily discussing to shape it up. And on the other hand he has jumped into his next venture with director K S Ravikumar. The grapevine is abuzz that this project will be an out-and-out commercial entertainer. Moreover the film is produced by Kamal’s home banner, Raaj Kamal Internationals. Everyone would be eager to know about the lucky princess who will pair up with our Ulaganayagan, right? Hmmm… then we have a small hint on that. We hear that the film’s team is discussing on Trisha or Tamannah according to sources.
Birdies add that K S Ravikumar is ready with the script and has shaped Kamal’s as a politician. Yeah! You heard it right Politician! We can hear what you think! (Wink)
