Simbu okays Sneha Ullal for ‘Vaanam’

Again on Silambarasan. Silambarasan film 'Vaanam' is making the news from the launch date. One of the news was that Anushka refused to do the film with Silambarasan but finally agreed to do an item number. Another was Lingusamy accusing Silambarasan for delaying his film because Silambarasan has started to shoot for ‘Vaanam’ ahead of his film. Another was the debate over if Anushka had refused who will be the heroine of ‘Vaanam’. ‘Vaanam’ is the Tamil remake of super hit Telugu film 'Vedam'
Silambarasan has got his heroine. He has chosen Sneha Ullal to be his heroine in ‘Vaanam’. Sneha Ullal was introduced by Salman Khan in Hindi after he broke up with Aishwarya Rai. The only reason Salman had to launch Sneha Ullal was that she looked like Aishwarya. But her career in Hindi was a flop and so like all drop outs she looked towards south. In Telugu she is doing fairly well. Sneha Ullal is one of the heroines of the recent Telugu box office hit 'Simha' starrig Balakrishna.
Now she is coming to Kollywood through Silambarasan. Sneha Ullal plays the sex worker role played by Anushka in the original. STR and Sneha Ullal will start shooting their portions from July 24 in Chennai.

Is Simbu's loss Vijay's gain?

A sudden announcement from Simbu that he would do 'Vaanam' and his revamping of the long pending 'Podaa Podi' has given raise to a question- Will he act in Lingusamy's forthcoming project?

If sources are to be believed, the actor may not be a part of the 'Paiyaa' director's next film, and instead of him, Vijay will play the protagonist of the action-paced venture.

"Since Vijay is on the verge of completing ‘Kaaval Kadhal’ and his other movie ‘Velayudham’ which went to floors a few days ago will be completed in one ago, he has agreed to do Lingusamy's film," sources say.

The venture will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, it is said. The production company run by Dhayanidhi has acquired and released ‘Paiyaa’, which recently completed 100 days, it may be recalled.

Simbu’s ‘Vaanam’ movie launched!

Already it is reported to our viewers that the critically acclaimed Telugu film ‘Vedam’ directed by Krish is all set to be remade in Tamil soon and Simbu is going to play Allu Arjun’s role ‘Cable Raju’ in Tamil version along with Manoj, Anushka and Nagayya in the same roles as they did in Telugu version.

It is also said that the Tamil version has been titled as ‘Vaanam’ and RB Chowdhary’s son Jithan Ramesh will be producing the Tamil version and producing it on ‘Super Good Films’ banner. Now the latest news is that the film was launched unofficially on Saturday, 10th of this month and the regular shooting of the film will be commencing from today.

Sources say that Simbu is doing this new project in simultaneously with his earlier project ‘Poda Podi’.

Actress Trisha says that there is nothing wrong in kissing Simbhu

There are some kissing scenes between Trisha and Simbhu in the film Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya. When asked Trish whether she would continue to act in the kissing scenes, she said,” There is no problem for me to act in kissing scenes. Since the story demanded it, I kissed Simbhu.

There is nothing wrong in it. This kind of scenes depends on the story and director’s wish. I act according to the director’s command. Now I have reached a stage in cinema. It is not correct to say that I will not act in kissing scenes or in swim suit dresses.
Lots of appreciations are heaping on me through e mails about my character in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya. I have acted in many films but I have not received so many appreciations as this film. Character like Jessie is a very rare thing to happen.

They wanted me to pair with Ravi Teja in a Telugu film. I also agreed. But lot of call sheet was required. Hence I pointed out that I had other films to act. So I walked out of this film. I never knew that Shreya was signed for this film.
Kamal called me and explained me about my character in the film Yaavarum Kelir. I will be seen differently in this film. My costumes are being different. A new costume designer is designing dresses for me. Kamal is a very perfect person. He is well equipped before the shooting commences. I am acting in the Hindi film Katta Meeta in Mumbai. Most of the shooting has been completed.”

Red Giant Movies gets the rights of ‘VTV’

The well-known director Gautham Menon’s much awaited film ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’ (VTV) has been acquired by Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies for a record breaking price. The sources say that the movie will be going to hit the screens on Feb 19th. On the other hand, Gowtham has tied hands with Dayanidhi Azhagiri for the new film with the actor Ajith in lead role.

The director says that the movie will be a musical romantic love story with Simbhu and Trisha in the lead roles. The music maestro A R Rahman’s music has already been attracting the audience.

At this moment, Gowtham can get hold of a runaway victory with good returns much earlier to the movie release….

'Kamal Haasan' Launches ‘VTV’ Songs

For everyone at Sathyam Cinemas, it was an evening of abounding to breezes of musical fiestas. It was all about the unveiling of A.R. Rahman’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ songs that were earlier launched at London.Kamal Haasan and A.R. Rahman together launched the film’s audio with Gowtham Menon and other technicians of the film sharing the dais.The juncture kick-started with the singers crooning almost all the songs in this album, which was later followed by screening of three numbers were screened for the special invitees. The songs were mind-boggling with eye-catching visuals and goldrush over the musical arenas.Addressing the gathered invitees, Kamal Haasan said that the visuals have propelled him to watch the film soon.All the singers were spotted with black blazers and so was Gowtham Menon.Gowtham totted up saying that the film is inspiration from his own life and it will be a graceful romantic entertainer for universal audiences….
