‘Mangaatha’ For Piggyback Ride With ‘Naan Mahan Alla’

Ajith Kumar’s 50th film ‘Mangaatha – Ulle Veliye’ took off this morning with a photo-shoot session in a studio near AVM. The entire technical crew of this film – Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan was present. Ajith Kumar was present in a sleek black silky shirt. The costume used during photo shoot itself was revealing that Ajith Kumar wouldn’t be spotted in clichéd costumes of blazers, which are considered as timeworn factors.Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions has decided to screen first look teasers of ‘Mangaatha’ during the intermission of ‘Naan Mahan Alla’. Since, both the films are produced by the same banner; the producers have decided to create sensation with such factors.Recently, Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ had a teaser like photo shoot before the launch itself and has been telecasted in kalagnar TV. Before years, Vikram’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ had the teasers shot exotically and raised everyone’s expectations.

Ajith's assurance

Ajith Kumar has just completed the first round race of the weekend in 13th position after starting from position 20 out of 21 cars on the grid at the FIA 2010 Formula Two Championship happening at Marrakech, the first round outside of Europe.
Says Ajith from trackside at Marrakech, Morocco: "Practice session 1 & 2 went well and so did qualifying session 1 (for race 1). My lap times kept improving over the 2 practice sessions. Did have a few excursions off the track trying to find my limit and better lap times."
"Qualifying session for race 1 was going well for me until I crashed into the wall on exit of corner one (20 mins into the qualifying session). My Wrist Hurts! Luckily by then had managed to log laptimes within 107 per cent off the quickest driver in qualifying, which enabled me Qualify for race 1."
"Marrakech circuit as you all know is a street circuit. Extremely challenging with very long high speed straights and fast chicanes with absolutely no room for error. It is not very often that a racing car driver gets to race on a street circuit. With F2 coming to Marrakech I consider myself very privileged to have got this opportunity.'
"The infrastructure and enthusiasm among the people here in Marrakech is just awesome. It is to be seen to be believed. I am very confident that in the coming future Chennai will have its own street circuit like Marrakech, which will boost tourism in our State and country as well."
In his message for his fans and well wishers, the actor-racer said, "I may or may not succeed in bringing great results on the race track but I wish to assure each and everyone of you that I am giving it my best. F2 is serious business. Being 5 seconds off the pace may seem a huge gap for motorsports enthusiasts. But considering where I am coming from I am personally happy and pleased with my performance so far. And most importantly irrespective of what happens I am enjoying each and every moment on the race track."
Meanwhile, the official F2 website says: The tricky street track is sure to pose a unique challenge to the F2 field - not only through its complex mix of long straights, tight chicanes and a fearsome last hairpin, but also through the 2,550 4-tonne blocks that line the perimeters of the circuit. With no room for error, drivers have to navigate the 4.5 km circuit always searching for an optimum balance between outright pace and sensible restraint.

Goutham’s next not with 'Ajith'

"It will be a quickie and a low budget thriller that will be over in 90 minutes. It's about happenings in one night. Sameera and Veera will be the protagonists," says Goutham.

On 'VTV', he says, "I had a little hesitation when I penned the script. There was some doubt in my mind as to whether audience would accept a full-length romantic film. But after its release, I am overwhelmed by the response it has been receiving from everyone."

'Vijay' speaks for "Ajith"

In the recent controversy over Ajith and artiste privacy issue Ajith has got support from an unexpected colleague. Though he is considered a professional rival to Ajith, Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay has come out in support of Ajith our sources reveal. Vijay has reportedly talked to V C Guhanathan for Ajith. What did he speak?

Vijay had apparently said to FEFSI President “Ajith is an open book and he never speaks anything with hidden motives. He always speaks from his heart. The non-issue was blown out of proportion only by media”. Vijay also has requested V C Guhanathan to let the issue go and not take any further actions by FEFSI.

Meanwhile, some other reports say, even the chief minister did not like the idea of issuing “red cards” to Rajini and Ajith. Reports also said the meeting of Ajith with the CM was cordial and the CM listened to Ajith’s point of view in the whole episode with concern.

Ajith-Rajini ignore Jaguar Thangam

The more stunt master Jaguar Thangam lashes out at actor Ajith and superstar Rajinikanth, the more does our respect for both stars increase, given the dignified composure they continue to maintain in spite of his provocative statements.

A few days ago, an attack was made on Jaguar Thangam's residence while he was away shooting for a film at Madurai. Even before the police were informed, Jaguar Thangam was called and without any proper evidence, the stunt master kicked up quite a row, alleging that the attack had been made on him by fans of Ajith. He was demanding Ajith's arrest which did not happen. Angered that his demands had not been heeded, he threatened to bring in members of his caste to attack Ajith's residence. Security was tightened around Thala's residence immediately. Jaguar Thangam then made a statement that he had lodged a complaint against Ajith with the Nadigar Sangam and was sure they would take some action.

He told presspersons yesterday that he wanted an apology from Ajith for the attack against him and that Ajith also owed an apology to FEFSI for his statement at the function felicitating Kalaignar Karunanithi. When a certain member of the press pointed out that Rajinikanth had given Ajith a standing ovation for the mentioned statement, Jaguar Thangam did not think twice before saying that no one ever took the things Rajni said seriously and that there was every possibility that the superstar might twist the meaning of his words or actions later on. And while Jaguar Thangam is busy getting all the attention, the targets of all his attacks -- Ajith and Rajinikanth -- have not even flinched! A silent stand that tells everything: whose words should be taken seriously and whose not!

"Ajith Kumar" Supported By Nadigar Sangam

Followed by the gaudy shows put up by other executive members of industry related associations, Nadigar Sangam pulls in for the situation by extending substantive support to actor Ajith Kumar . As in earlier reports, it all started off with his stunning speech at CM felicitation ceremony about actors being threatened to attend the political and social issues.

Before couple of days, producer V.C. Guhanathan and Kalaipuli Sekaran had commented that an actor must abide by the rules implemented by the council.

Apparently, the topmost officials in Nadigar Sangam – Actors Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi have made abrupt statements condemning them that actors shouldn’t be anymore offended by them.

The executive members of Nadigar Sangam have clearly mentioned that any issues pertaining to actors can be sorted out within themselves and shouldn’t be laid out under public glare.

New song added to Ajith's ‘Aasal'

These are the times when films are getting chopped post release for various reasons mostly to make the film more crisp and interesting according to directors.

However, Sivaji Productions and Saran are doing just the opposite. Their just released ‘Asal’ film will have one more song added to it from this week.

The number 'Yengay Yengay....' which was there in the music album did not feature in the film as the makers initially felt that it would disturb the pace of the movie. Even the much talked about 'Em Thandhai...' was made to appear in parts to make it smooth.

At the audio launch Ajith said 'Yengay Yengay....' was his favourite song as it speaks about his life and journey, the insult and back-stabbings he encountered in his life. So Sivaji Productions has decided to satisfy Ajith fans by adding their ‘Thala’s beloved song.

This new addition has brought cheers to Ajith fans, and they say they will watch the film again to see the song. 'Yengay Yengay....' is penned by Vairamuthu and sung by S P Balasubramaniam.

VIJAY’S PHONE CALL, CM’S HEARTY LAUGH

Now that everybody’s already gone gaga about Thamizh Padam, we thought it would be apt to take a census as to how many biggies reacted to the concept of spoof and how they did it. Here's the list:Kamal was one of the early birds to congratulate the team saying it was his dream to do such a project. He did so as soon as the promos were on air.Vijay obviously took the digs positively and called in to greet the crew when they were on air in a television channelAjith seems to have telephoned the crew to cheer themThe CM, who watched the movie, almost could not stop laughing hysterically long after the movie is over. He also reportedly said that it’s been a while since he was a movie that made him laugh so much.
