'Anushka' doesn’t care about being a sex-worker

Hottie Anushka didn’t have a better start in Kollywood as soon after the first film ‘Rendu’, she disappeared suddenly. Now the actress has made a stunning comeback in Tamil film industry with two consecutive hits – ‘Vettaikaran’ and Surya starrer ‘Singam’. Brimmed with the successful venture, the actress sets to perform a challenging role of a sex worker in Silambarasan’s upcoming film ‘Vaanam’.

Just as we have briefed enough about this film, it’s a remake of recent Telugu hit ‘Vedam’ that featured Allu Arjun along with Manoj Manchu and Anushka in lead roles. Since Manoj has been severely injured over his shoulders, Bharath will replace him and Anushka will repeat the same role.

Anushka was reported to be performing just an item number in this film, which is completely a rumor as she plays the female lead role and will appear all throughout the film.

‘Acting is all about doing your best and it doesn’t matter about the roles we take on’ says Anushka.

Anushka is not the heroine of 'Vaanam'

When most of the media is abuzz with the launch of 'Vaanam' and the new pair of Silambarasan and Anushka we hear a different story from some sources. According to some news reaching us, Anushka is not the heroine of the film ‘Vaanam’ but she has been signed for an item song number only.

‘Vaanam’ is the remake of the recent sensational Telugu hit directed by Krish with Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu, Anushka, Manoj Bajpai, Lekha Washington and others playing the lead roles. Tamil 'Vaanam' is being produced by B Ramesh and ‘VTV’ Ganesh and will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The story now doing rounds is this. Anushka first refused to play the same role in Tamil and then the Tamil producers asked her to do an item number only in the Tamil version. Still not interested Anushka quoted an exorbitant price thinking the producers will then avoid her for the film. However, when our producers agreed to the quoted price Anushka had no choice but to agree.

But the same Anushka has done an item role in Telugu for free. Of course that was for her close friend Bhoomika. Bhoomika is producing a Telugu film 'Thakita Thakita' and Anushka did a guest role with out any remuneration.

Simbu’s ‘Vaanam’ movie launched!

Already it is reported to our viewers that the critically acclaimed Telugu film ‘Vedam’ directed by Krish is all set to be remade in Tamil soon and Simbu is going to play Allu Arjun’s role ‘Cable Raju’ in Tamil version along with Manoj, Anushka and Nagayya in the same roles as they did in Telugu version.

It is also said that the Tamil version has been titled as ‘Vaanam’ and RB Chowdhary’s son Jithan Ramesh will be producing the Tamil version and producing it on ‘Super Good Films’ banner. Now the latest news is that the film was launched unofficially on Saturday, 10th of this month and the regular shooting of the film will be commencing from today.

Sources say that Simbu is doing this new project in simultaneously with his earlier project ‘Poda Podi’.
