'Pay your taxes,' say Aamir, Akshay

They are two of the highest tax paying celebs from Bollywood and now they are urging the aam admi to pay taxes rightly and on time in a latest documentary by the Income Tax Department.

The 20-minute-long documentary will have Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan spreading the message of tax compliance. It will have Om Puri’s voice-over and also feature Priyanka Chopra reportedly.

The documentary will be unveiled by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee during the first-ever Income Tax day celebrations on July 24 in New Delhi, to mark 150 years of taxation in the country.

Akshay and Aamir are exemplary tax-payers from Hindi film industry. Akshay paid an advance tax of Rs 9 crore in March this year, taking his total advance tax payment in the current financial year to Rs 18 crore. Aamir with an advance tax payment of Rs 12 crore stands second.

Salman Khan in full ‘Dabangg’ action

Salman Khan’s fans can’t ask for more, the first trailer of Dabangg, which looks as promising as blockbuster Wanted, is out.

So get ready to enter the world of Chulbul Pandey, a corrupt police officer, who is also known as Robinhood Pandey. Thanks to ‘Wanted’ action director S Vijayan, the film has Salman doing some awesome stunts.

The trailer also has some dhasu dialogues coming from Sallu like this one, “Hum tum main itne chedd karenge ke, ki canfuse ho jaoge, ki saans kahan se le aur paade kahan se”.

Talking about the newcomer Sonakshi Sinha, she is beautiful and looks very confident on screen. The film produced by Arbaaz Khan also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Mahie Gill and Sonu Sood.

The girl who has bowled over Salman Khan

A launch in Bollywood in a film with Salman Khan is any debutante’s dream come true. But two films on a trot with the swashbuckling Khan is a rarity for any newbie. Not for Sonakshi Sinha, the beautiful daughter of actor Shatrughan Sinha.

Ever since Sonakshi first caught Salman’s eye at a fashion show two years ago, she’s been constantly prodded by him to lose extra weight, get in shape and get her foot in the door to fame.

Moreover, Salman offered Sonakshi his brother Arbaaz Khan’s production Dabangg opposite himself. And now that the film’s shooting is close to completion, Sonakshi has managed to live up to Salman’s expectations; so much so that when he and Arbaaz recently saw the rushes of the film with Sonakshi and her parents, Salman was so impressed by her work that he offered her another movie.

Arbaaz Khan will be the producer of the film. And while ‘Dabangg’ has a rural setting, the second film will be set in the city.

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif still the hottest couple

The rumour mills may have been churning out spiciest gossip linking Katrina Kaif with Ranbir Kapoor, but the netizens still feel it is Salman Khan with whom Katrina looks the best.

In a poll conducted by ApunKaChoice, 51 percent people voted in favour of Salman as opposed to 13 percent for Ranbir and 36 percent for Hrithik Roshan when asked whom would they like to see Katrina star with on screen.

Mallika Sherawat to go naked?

Mallika Sherawat is set to be the first Bollywood actress to go completely naked for a photoshoot, if the latest buzz in tinsel town is to go by.

The actress who has made Los Angeles her second home for the post production work and pre-release publicity of her film Hissss is reportedly going to bare it all for a special photoshoot by noted shutterbug Ash Gupta.

Building upon the theme of Hissss, which has Mallika playing a snakewoman, the photoshoot will have Mallika’s modesty covered by a snake. We hear it’s a concept on the lines of the hot photoshoot done by German-born American actress Nastassja Kinski in the 1980s when she posed totally naked with a boa constrictor. However, her private parts were covered with the snake, so nothing objectionable was revealed to the camera.

Sushmita Sen-Wasim Akram: another Indo-Pak love story?

What’s brewing between Indian actress Sushmita Sen and former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram? is the question that’s been puzzling many lately.

The amazing vibes between the two was for all to see when they together judged the reality show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena two years back. Since then the duo has been linked together but the rumours of their thick friendship and a possible romance caught wind again only after Akram emerged out of his bereavement for his deceased wife Huma who passed away in October last year.

Of late, the duo has been spotted together at many parties and now the latest we hear is that Sush and Wasim were seen spending quality time at a nightspot in Mumbai earlier this week. They walked in together a little before midnight, holding hands, and took a sea-facing table. They chatted amicably and animatedly and were later joined by Sush’s friends.

Sush again seemed in a breezy mood, not caring a hoot for the onlookers. She and Wasim stayed together till quarter to 2am and walked out only when the nightspot was about to close.

Whether the bonding between the two is just restricted to friendship or spiralling into love is hard to say, but one thing is for sure - there’s no enmity in this Indo-Pak story.

"Katrina" discharged from hospital after minor surgery

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who successfully underwent a minor surgery at the Breach Candy hospital here, has been discharged Thursday.

The actress was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night, prior to which she had been advised bed rest.

"Katrina has just been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital and is completely fine now. Because of her system's low haemoglobin level, she had to undergo a small surgical procedure. She's resting at home, after which she will take off for her annual Christmas break," Katrina's spokesperson said in a statement.

The actress was recently seen in hit film "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" and her next is Prakash Jha's "Rajneeti".

"Surya" to give competition to "Aamir Khan"!

Aamir Khan is being given a run for his money for the title of Mr. Perfectionist by south sensation Surya as he takes his Hindi lessons way too seriously. Honing his Hindi vocabulary, Surya is learning the perfect pitch to deliver his dialogues for the Ram Gopal Varma political thriller Rakht Charitra.





































Apparently so serious is Surya to make a perfect Bollywood debut, that he has gone ahead and hired a tutor to improve his diction in Hindi. RGV must be so proud of him.
Apart from Surya, actor Vivek Oberoi is also to be seen in this flick in the role of gangster Paritala Ravi. Rakht Charitra is expected to go on floors from February 2010.

"Asin" not in Ashutosh’s next movie

It looks like troubled times are here for Ashutosh Gowarikar. First, his film, What’s Your Raashee? bombed. Now, Asin has decided to back out of his next film, Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se citing date issues.
She was supposed to play the female lead in the film opposite Abhishek Bachchan but she has chosen to walk out of the film as she is not very pleased with the script. At first she was very excited about the film but when she heard the script, she didn’t like her role in the film anymore. Also, her film London Dreams isn’t exactly a box office scorcher. And after Ashutosh’s film didn’t do well, she doesn’t want to take any chances and would rather walk out.

"Aamir Khan" Teams For Indian Tourism Film

Rakeysh Mehra and Aamir Khan have joined up to fight against the falling rate of tourists coming to India. They have done a short film together for the Ministry of Tourism to encourage foreigners to visit India for the retreat is was before sexual crimes against women increased.
Aamir and Rakeysh had done a film last year too which produced good results because of which the tourism industry approached them again this year. Aamir feels that the tourism industry must have powerful names standing up for it. He is doing the Atithee Devo Bhava (guest is god) campaign very seriously.
Rakeysh feels that Aamir needs to show the world that India is a hospitable country and that Indians love taking care of guests. Aamir’s face and personality is well suited for the campaign. "Asin" Faints – Overworked ?

The race to stay in shape is affecting the health of B-town’s actresses. First Priyanka Chopra fainted and now Asin. She passed out at an Andheri club because of non-stop interviews that she had to give for her latest film, London Dreams. She had to be revived by her staff and friends by instant energy boosters.
Asin rested at home on her birthday yesterday and stated that the reason she fainted was because she had slept for barely 3-4 hours last week and on that day, she had no sleep or food. But she was making it up by spending a restful birthday.
On Sunday night, her closest friends came over to dinner after which they made her cut the cake at midnight. Earlier, when she came home in the evening, her parents had done up the entire house with balloons, like they used to when she was younger. She admits that this was the best birthday of her life. The later part of the day was spent with children from her building.

"Asin" opposed to skin show and vulgarity on screen

At a time when even established actresses are resorting to skin show to grab big deals and projects, Asin, the new comer from South, is very particular about the fact that she will never go for roles which demand vulgarity and exposing.

“I would never do something that is baseless, vulgar and indecent… something I am not comfortable doing and therefore can’t do justice with,” Asin said.
She also added that her criteria for selecting films include script, role, director, producer and then co-artist. “Language or financial issues never determine what film I want to do,” she said.
Just one film old, this pretty and talented actress from South selects her roles very carefully. At present, she is awaiting the release of ‘London Dreams’ opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan where she plays a rock star. She is busy these days with a line of endorsements and a Disney film titled 19th Step.

"Shilpa Shetty" getting engaged to 'Raj Kundra'

Shilpa Shetty is finally getting engaged tomorrow to the man of her dreams — industrialist Raj Kundra.
A source informs, "The engagement ceremony will be a simple and private one held at Raj's 7th floor flat in Juhu. It's very hush-hush and only close family and friends will attend. Shilpa and her family have decided to go ahead with engagement date after much deliberation and consultation with family astrologers, including her mother Sunanda."

Understandably, Shilpa was reluctant to have the ceremony in the absence of her sister Shamita who is currently holed up at the Bigg Boss house. "Shilpa was keen that Shamita too be a part of such a special event in her life but the time is extremely auspicious. Finally, she gave in to the pressure." Shilpa's engagement outfit is a Manish Malhotra designed saree and choli in soft onion pink chiffon reflecting Shilpa's personality.

Says a source, "The saree is simple with no embellishments like crystals or zari work, but a thin gold border. The choli is vintage and in different shades of gold with gold tassels. The saree has been deliberately kept simple as Shilpa will be wearing heavy rubies, diamonds and emeralds in ornaments designed by Anmol Jewellers."
